The first lot of songs that I recorded come under the banner of "Beautiful Nexus". The title comes from the fact that when I would write poetry, I would always end up referring to a "Beautiful Nexus". Sometimes, it is the meeting point of realities, often represented by a female. I just like the sound of it.
I have split up "Beautiful Nexus" into two - Gold and Silver. This makes it easier for me when I put the songs onto disc. And it sounds a bit self-indulgent!
The first songs that I recorded with Cubase were "Fate Part2" and "Fate Part 4". Part 2 is a bit of a love song, whilst Part 4 is a noisy, multi-guitar, psychedelic type affair. The other parts to "Fate" were mainly ideas for songs that didn't get fleshed out, so I used them as bridging parts, for the time being.
The attempts at drums on a couple of these songs were added to the tracks after they were initially recorded, and are therefore not particularly in time. Or very good, for that matter. "Seaswept" is the only song using keyboards. It comes from an idea for a tune I had about five years ago. I still haven't fleshed it out, though.
